What STA offers Traffic Engineering / Planning Graduates
The Traffic Engineering / Planning Graduate program consists of a series of dynamic rotational placements to build your skills and experience.Before the first placement begins, you will be attending Graduate Induction Week. This induction week will provide you with the opportunity to be introduced to our organisation and its employees, to understand the policies and procedures of the Graduate Program and State Transit Authority, to visit our key operational areas and to develop your personal development plan.
As a Traffic Engineering / Planning Graduate, you could be involved in:
- Traffic management and road safety
- Traffic generating developments
- Project management
- Ministry of Transport and infrastructure projects
- Risk management
- Road safety audit
- Risk assessments
Relevant Degrees
If you have recently completed a degree (or expected to complete a degree at the end of 2008) in any of the following, or similar range of disciplines, then the Graduate Program may be suitable for you:- Master of Civil Engineering
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering with an interest in Traffic Engineering/Planning
- Bachelor of Planning

Graduate salaries start at $50,455 for the first year (2009) and moves to $55,009 in the second year (2010).
