Engineering Graduate Program
As the Engineering Graduate, you will be based at the head office of Sydney Buses working with Operational and Fleet Support Department. Your rotations will be primarily based within the Engineering Policy and Standards corporate team, supported by placements in the Maintenance Areas of our Bus Depots.
The Engineering Placement Schedule will provide you with greater insight into the Engineering functions of Sydney Buses operations and will give you the opportunity and will give you the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge within this field.
Engineering Placement Schedule
The Engineering Graduate Program is a two-year program that consists of up to four placements to build your skills and experience.
Before the first placement begins, you will be attending Graduate Induction Week. This induction week will provide you with the opportunity to be introduced to our organisation and its employees, to understand the policies and procedures of the Graduate Program and Sydney Buses, to visit our key operational areas and to develop your personal development plan.

- Reliability Analysis
- Maintenance Auditing
- Maintenance Planning
- Fault Analysis
- Fault Finding
- Asset and Project Management
- Contract Management
- Technical Investigation
- Technical document and policy writing
- Drafting and Design (CAD)
Relevant University Degrees
If you have recently completed a degree (or yet to complete a degree at the end of 2009) in any of the following, or similar, broad range of disciplines, then the Engineering Graduate Program will be suitable for you:
