For a limited time the Family Funday Sunday ticket also includes free entry into a range of participating venues such as museums.

The Family Funday Sunday ticket is a flat fare of $2.50 per person. To purchase the individual tickets, the travelling group must be related by family and include at least one child and one adult. The tickets cover all day travel on a Sunday around metropolitan and outer metropolitan Sydney, including Newcastle and Wollongong.

A child is anyone under 16 years (ie up to 15 years of age), and school students aged 16,17 and 18 years of age attending NSW or ACT schools possessing a current 202 card or equivalent valid private bus school travel pass. Children under four travel free with a Family Funday Sunday ticket-holding adult. Fares are available on the Sunday of purchase only.

The ticket is extended to private bus operators in the Sydney metropolitan area and applies to travel on the CityRail network, State Transit buses and Sydney and Newcastle ferries. The ticket is recognised by participating private sector bus companies in outer metropolitan areas as well.

You can purchase a Family Funday Sunday ticket at any time of the day from drivers of both private and State Government buses, at CityRail stations and Sydney and Newcastle ferry ticket offices. Tickets for Prepay bus services may be purchased in advance from Sydney Buses ticket resellers. Tickets can not be bought onboard “Prepay Only” bus services or rail replacement
(TrackWork) buses.

(Certain services are excluded: Light Rail, Monorail, Sydney Explorer Bus, Bondi Explorer Bus, special event buses and Manly Jetcat. A station access fee also applies when using any of the Airport Line stations - Green Square, Mascot, Domestic or International.)
