The Sydney Festival First Night will take place on Saturday 10 January.
With events occurring thoughout the Sydney CBD, Hyde Park and The Domain areas, there will be a number of alterations to Sydney Buses services operating in the city.
Additional Sydney Buses services will operate on main corridors to and from the city. Please refer to the list below for alterations to services.
Southern, Western and Inner West services
George Street services - Routes 431, 432, 433, 434, 436, 437, 438, 440, 443, 470, 500-series From 3:00pm Saturday until 6:00am Sunday, bus stops located in George Street between King Street and Margaret Street will be unavailable for buses. Please join services at stops located south of King Street, or north of Hunter Street.
Newtown services - Routes 422, 423, 426 & 428
From 3:00pm Saturday until 6:00am Sunday, buses operating towards Newtown will depart Circular Quay Stand A, then run express to Castlereagh Street at David Jones. Services towards Circular Quay will not stop at Wynyard.
Eastern Suburbs services
All Eastern Suburbs services travelling towards the CityFrom 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, all eastern services travelling to Circular Quay and Millers Point services will terminate in Elizabeth Street, at Museum or Park Street.
Surry Hills services - Routes 301, 302 & 303
From 3:00pm Saturday until 5:00pm Saturday, buses will depart Circular Quay, operating via Phillip and Elizabeth Streets to Market Street, then as normal via Castlereagh Street.
Then from 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, please join services from Elizabeth Street at Bathurst Street.
Botany Road services - Routes 309 & 310
From 3:00pm Saturday until 5:00pm Saturday, buses will depart Circular Quay, operating via Phillip and Elizabeth Streets to Market Street, then as normal via Castlereagh Street.
Then from 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, please join services from Elizabeth Street at Bathurst Street.
After 1:00am Sunday until 6:00am Sunday, Route 309 will depart Circular Quay, operating via Phillip and Elizabeth Streets to Market Street, then as normal via Castlereagh Street.
Clovelly service - Route 339
From 3:00pm Saturday until 5:00pm Saturday, buses will depart as normal from Millers Point, operating via Phillip and Elizabeth Streets to Market Street, then as normal via Castlereagh Street.
Then from 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, please join services from Park Street at Elizabeth Street (south side).
Rosebery/Kingsford service - Route 343
From 3:00pm Saturday until 5:00pm Saturday, buses will depart Gresham Street, operating via Elizabeth Streets to Market Street, then as normal via Castlereagh Street.
Then from 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, buses will depart from Park Street at Elizabeth Street (south side).
St Peters & Darling Point services - Routes 308 & 327
From 3:00pm Saturday until 5:00pm Saturday, buses will depart Gresham Street, operating via Phillip and Elizabeth Streets to Market Street, then via their normal routes (Route 308 via Castlereagh Street; Route 327 via William Street)
Then from 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, Route 327 will depart from Park Street at Elizabeth Street (north side).
Anzac Parade services - Routes 391, 392, 394, L94, 396, 397 & 399
From 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, please join services in Elizabeth Street at Bathurst Street.
Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach and Kings Cross services - Routes 311, 324, 325, 326, 333, 380 & 389
From 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, please join buses in Park Street at Elizabeth Street (north side). Refer to details above for Route 327.
Randwick Junction services - Routes 373, 374, 376 & 377
From 5:00pm Saturday until 1:00am Sunday, please join buses in Park Street at Elizabeth Street (south side).
Train services in the city area
Customers with valid Sydney Buses tickets can travel on City Circle train services between Central, Town Hall, Wynyard, Circular Quay, St James and Museum stations, from 5pm Saturday 10 January until 1pm Sunday 11 January 2009.
Customers can also travel to Martin Place Station. Change at Central (platform 24) or Town Hall (platform 5) for Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains operating direct to Martin Place.
