Changes to Explorer services and SydneyPass tickets from Sunday 28 November

From Sunday, 28 November 2010, State Transit will no longer operate the Sydney and Bondi Explorer hop-on hop-off tourist bus services. Both Explorer services have been sold to CitySightseeing Pty Ltd. The red Sydney Explorer and blue Bondi Explorer single decker buses will be withdrawn from service.

All Explorer and SydneyPass tickets purchased will remain valid for use, however, from 28 November the explorer component will be provided by CitySightseeing on the CitySightseeing branded double decker buses. Please refer to the CitySightseeing route map for the stop locations where you can access the CitySightseeing bus.

From 28 November, all Explorer and SydneyPass vouchers must be exchanged for a live ticket at the Circular Quay TransitShop or AirportLink train ticket offices. Explorer and SydneyPass vouchers can not be redeemed onboard CitySightseeing buses.
