'PrePay-Only' CBD

CBD PrePay boundaries

From Monday 22 June 2009 bus stops throughout Sydney's CBD were converted to PrePay-only between 7am and 7pm on weekdays. PrePay simply means purchasing a ticket before boarding the bus. No tickets are sold on board the bus at PrePay-only bus stops or on PrePay-only bus services.

Where to buy

There are over 800 ticket resellers across the Sydney Buses network, including more than 140 in the city.

Tickets are available from a variety of outlets including Australia Post outlets, Newsagents, 7-eleven and convenience stores.  Tickets are also available from Sydney Buses' TransitShops, CityRail train stations and Sydney Ferries wharves.  Find out where to buy tickets.
