TravelPass

TravelPass provides you with unlimited travel on a weekly, quarterly or annual basis on Sydney Buses, CityRail and Sydney Ferries.

Weekly TravelPass tickets are activated on the first use and last for seven days. (They are active upon purchase from CityRail and Sydney Ferries outlets).

Quarterly and annual tickets start from the date you nominate.

Quarterly provides 3 months of travel for the cost of 11 weekly tickets (21% discount off the weekly price)
Annually provides 1 year of travel for the price of 40 weekly tickets (23% discount off the weekly price)

All TravelPass tickets are valid until 4am the following morning of the expiry date.

Ideal Use

TravelPass tickets are ideal if you:

are a frequent traveller
use a combination of transport modes (bus/train/ferry) to reach your destination.

Which TravelPass do I need?

TravelPass tickets are colour-coded depending on the zones covered and the modes of transport used.

To decide on the TravelPass you need view the TravelPass Guide. Please note that the maps do not necessarily correspond with individual train, bus or ferry network maps as they are colour-coded to assist in selecting the right TravelPass ticket.

Limitations

TravelPasses cannot be used:

on Sydney Explorer buses
on Bondi Explorer buses
on Manly JetCat
on Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries special event services or private bus company services
to enter or exit Green Square, Mascot, Domestic and International stations. A station access fee must be paid at these locations.

How to use a TravelPass

On Sydney Buses, insert your ticket into the green machine on the bus.
On CityRail trains, insert the ticket into the automatic gates. Where there are no gates, show the ticket to the CityRail attendant.
On Sydney Ferries, insert your ticket into the turnstile or present it to the deckhand on-board.

The expiry date will print on the reverse side and the ticket is valid until 4am the morning after the expiry date.

Where to buy

There are close to 900 ticket agents in Sydney, including newsagents, 7-elevens and convenience stores. Tickets are also available from Sydney Buses' TransitShops, CityRail train stations and Sydney Ferries wharves. Find out where to buy tickets.
