Where to Buy

We encourage customers to prepay, by purchasing a ticket before you travel.

Ticket Resellers

There are around 700 ticket resellers across Sydney, including many newsagents. Sydney Buses ticket resellers are independently-run businesses. The tickets they sell are based on local demand and may run out at any time. Ticket resellers have an order-delivery schedule based on their location. We suggest you get to know the ticket resellers in your local or neighbouring area, or in the City.

If purchasing a concession ticket, you must show a valid concession card and carry it with you when travelling on the bus.

If you are not sure which ticket you need, we recommend you call the Transport Infoline on 131 500 or visit one of our TransitShops.

TravelTens and Weekly TravelPasses

• Onboard the bus - purchase from the driver (excluding "PrePay Only" bus routes).

NB: Single Ride and Pensioner Excursion tickets purchased off the bus become active when first used. Tickets purchased on the bus become active immediately.

DayTripper Tickets
